Southeastern Vocational Services

A sister division to Gulf Coast Enterprises, Southeastern Vocational Services (SVS) provides vocational assessment and job placement services for people with disabilities or other barriers to employment.

Community Rehabilitation Services
provides academic enrichment, basic living skills training, social rehabilitation and exposure to the demands of the workplace in a structured environment with the goals of decreasing dependence on clinical intervention and promoting functional independence in the community for persons with mental illness and/or a developmental disability.

Job Placement Services
provides assistance with job search, employment-based job coaching/supported employment, and continued follow-up services.

School to Work Services
integrates academic instruction and work readiness activities in a vocational setting for at-risk high school students preparing to enter the workforce.

Vocational Evaluation
includes testing and assessments to determine an individual's ability to perform in the workplace and help decide which occupations the individual is best suited for.

Work Incentives Planning and Assistance (WIPA)
helps Social Security beneficiaries to make informed choices about employment. A certified coordinator helps beneficiaries learn about work incentives that could allow them to increase their monthly incomes. The coordinator also can:

• Explain how employment will affect a person's Medicaid or Medicare benefits
• Provide information about and referrals to other community resources
• Help beneficiaries learn how to report monthly earnings to the Social Security Administration
